How can a guy be in love with 2 girls at the same time?

I came across this question on Quora and had to answer it.

I have heard this situation many times but never really understood it. The person who asked this question wrote-
According to the guy , one is quite depressed because she lost her mother and needs him while the other girl is in a consensual relationship with the guy currently. The guy wants both of them as both are important for him.”
For which I wrote-
He does not love either of them. Love means respect and If you love someone, you do not cheat on them.
Even if both girls know about each other, still he is using both and what makes him stop at two? He might have a few others lined up, how could you trust such a guy?”
For me, love is all about respecting each other and their choices. If you love someone, you cannot love anyone else in the same manner. If you are cheating on your Gf/Bf/husband/wife then you do not love them, because when you cheated on them you disrespected them and their trust on you.
People think love is complicated. For me, it is the simplest thing in the world. You love someone or you don’t. When you love someone, you do everything for them without expectations. When they love you back, they make you a priority and do everything to make you happy.
How can two people be your priority? So, when you do not understand who you love, check your priority order.
